So I know this is the best movies of 2019. But how about one of the worst 2019 movies I have seen. I just got Knives Out from red box and still over paid.
I saw the cast list which has some decent actors like Daniel Craig and Jamie Lee Curtis. The I saw the amount of awards and nominations and how people said it was good online.
I should have passed once I saw Rian Johnson was the director. But I thought Johnson's unending need to subvert expectations would work in a murder mystery.
It did not.
The movie was long and slow. The dark humor was anything but funny. The actors had long monologues with stilted lines. An over complicated plot which was easy to see coming.
Overall the movie is the worst one I have seen in the past year. You are better watching the Murder on the Orient Express. I knew the ending and still enjoyed the movie instead of Knives Out which is a slog to watch.
