Armored power suites. I take it these are NOT Nighthawks?

For the FEDCOM! For the Archon-Prince!
even simpler if the THiE has a Savanah Master... Fusion powered five ton piece of Junk (though it is an optimized piece of junk  ) that likely still outperforms a fair bit of Colonial combat ground vehicles.

Thank you for the great story so far!

“Next up is a weapon we can’t actually fire in here, but we included it so you can see it.” the General said with a chuckle. “For when what you want to hit is just too far away, but you aren’t worried, because you have a radio and a spotter, and are carrying your own personal artillery piece on your back.”
Ah, battle armor artillery. I have so many fond memories of using the Centaur back in the clicky-tech days. It was a common strategy for cheap players to bring one ace battlemech, give it range boosters, and then put it in a swamp so that it could camp and peel apart all comers as they slowly tried to get through the swamp. So I invested in a squad of Centaur battle armors and started pelting said ace battlemechs outside their range with lots and lots of small artillery strikes. Good times, got rid of a lot of cheap player strategies.

Does this mean the THIE has Dark-Age era tech due to not having a fucked up social structure like the Clans?
You've also got to remember that the Clans (well, the Star League in Exile that would become the Clans) not only settled down in probably the shittiest locale they could find (the area of space that the SLiE settled was just stupidly poor in terms of habitability and resources) but also suffered a less-destructive version of what happened in the Inner Sphere.

I do hope they have some unique advances the Clans don't if the THIE hasn't suffered those catastrophes.

The thing is, most of the Clan's advances are just making what was the experimental tech of the Terran Haegemony into commonplace tech, that is outside of things like Heavy Lasers and HAGs.

True, but perhaps the THIE might have taken the Royal Tech in different directions? Like Ultra/LBX Gauss Rifles? Or Extended-Range/Snub-Nosed Gauss Rifles?

Hmm, well the clans wouldn't have developed the tech as much that they disapproved of using. So maybe Ultra Long Tom Artillery?
SLDF preferred missile artillery, so I'd say having better Arro-IV ammo variants and also some alternative ammunition types for capital missiles (which can also be used as ICBMS). Maybe a missile variant that had SRM as sub-munitions to defeat L-AMS.

Well, one thing I'll mention for now...

The Hegemony likes LRM-20's as part of their anti-fighter armament... likes them a lot. And one of the reasons why is that all Hegemony LRM ammunition is Artemis compatible AND SWARM-I.

Not likely, it'll probably be lighter variants of the various artillery pieces in that regard, so a 'Clan' Thumper would weigh in at 12 tons instead of 15 (a 20% difference, given that the Clan Arrow IV is 12 tons instead of 15 tons).

The main reason for the Clans evolving an anti-artillery (other than TAG-guided Arrow IV) and anti-Melee fighting style is that both tend to not leave a lot to recycle (which is absolutely vital in the mineral-poor region that the Clans settled).

LBX style gauss would be HAGs (Hyper-Assault Gauss Rifles), mind you. ER Gauss isn't likely given the properties of BT armor. Especially given that even the humble small laser is implied to be a UV Laser (medium lasers are Xasers while large lasers are gasers)...

Would this list have some techs that the THIE would have?

Why does melee not leave anything to recycle? I've never run into that explanation before.
