This is the strangest thing that I've ever seen: Japan trying to make a historical account of the American Revolution from their cultural perspective (or, at least, during Meji Japan). Although, please note at the 15-minute mark that there is something quite unusual in terms of historical significance. If you know your Japanese Mon, then you'll know why I'm pointing this out. If you don't know the significance, then the basic outline is that George Washington was shown to have the Tokugawa Mon... a significant honor and basically says 'this person is adopted/a great friend to the clan'.

Some of you may remember that huge iceberg that cleaved off from Antartica in 2017. Well, that iceberg is so big that it's survived to this day. It's so big, in fact, that it's bigger than the island it's about to crash into.

Full story here

That iceberg is so big that it's done at least a couple of curliques in the relatively warm waters north of the Antartic peninsula, which usually make short work of icebergs.
Some might be tempted to make this story about global warming. Me? Don't particularly care. Just wanted to show a cool picture about a big-ass iceberg.
