He just released a new video on Comstar Home Video.

Tex Talks Battletech
Episode 13: The Marauder The SLDF War Machine

One of the finest war machines Humankind has ever known, after the Catapult, that's right, the mighty Marauder.

Also of interest...

Should check these places out.

Battletech for Big Four!

And be sure to thank Tex for giving us (multiple) shoutouts on his channel! Despite my best efforts to compensate him with Earthly treasures and pleasures he refused and apparently just wanted to help the community and do some good by mentioning our humble little growing forum.

However... if you want to send him unsolicited pictures of your Hollander (with or without the Black Pants) I'm sure he'll be more then grateful.

Damn straight. The proper solution to battlemech combat is drowning your opponent in missiles before they get in range*.
We could even make a fun new term for it! MechWarrior Missile Massace, perhaps? That rolls off the tongue pretty easy.
*Statement not fact-checked for accuracy, presents personal biases of the statement-maker based upon limited experience in the recent Battletech computer game and older MechWarrior titles, combined with absolutely NO experience in the actual tabletop game. But Missiles R Kewl.

Admittedly, I haven't checked into much beyond the Battletech lore videos (and that new, neato machinima the Black Pants Legion/others in collaboration(?) are spooling up...which I of course forget the name of.), but the lore videos alone have been fun distractions while I'm mindlessly on a treadmill in some cases, or outright feature-events with popcorn and the works a few times when they're longer (as this entry on the Marauder looks like it will be). The vids are fun combination of nerdy, detailed lore presentation, dramatic reading (and some actual history and allusions thrown in), silly humor in narrating that lore and in side-bits contributed to by others--the Steiner Scout Squadron perhaps most notably.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the voice. That deep but not-quite gravelly voice might not normally be 'appropriate' for narrating a documentary, but for narrating one about 80s-silliness Battletech and violence and whatnot...It works. Maybe it sounds odd, but combined with the old, clicking, slide-display most of the art is, it kind of makes the whole thing come off like a military briefing (to my civilian and sheltered ass who has never had to sit-through any kind of briefing so...)
Finally, on the voice, it must be said, it's kinda sexy.

I actually got introduced to Tex though his Space Station 13 content, due to his appearances in Boat Bomber's videos. Ended up binge watching most of his stuff (or binge listening, at it were; as I love having stuff playing in the background when I play videogames), including his ones on Battletech. Ended up learning a lot about a setting I'd only been previously exposed to via fanfiction.

Wait, what?

In the Battletech universe, General Motors not only exists but is bigger than ever. One of their greatest achievements is developing fusion power, building the first-ever self-sustaining fusion reactor in the year 2020.
Tex has a running gag going where he keeps emailing GM, asking how the research into fusion power is going, asking when they will have a working prototype, when they will build a fusion reactor, etc.

Now, most corporations have no patience for this kind of stuff and if they respond at all, it is to tell you to knock it off.
GM on the other hand, at least the people in the legal department, seems to have a good sense of humor. They send Tex cease-and-desist letters, clearly written in jest, telling him to stop bringing up secret projects such as fusion reactors and battlemechs, that they are most certainly not working on.

It seems like some folks down at GM enjoy Tex's videos and have a good laugh at the whole thing.

Arch Warhammer invited Tex onto his channel for a long form podcast discussion. It seemed to go well. They talked about Games Workshop, Battletech, and their own lives as nerds and hobbyists. Absolutely nothing controversial really. Just a cool crossover of the century between premier nerd shitposters in their respective franchise fields.

My personal standout moment is at 19:35 when Tex talks about how Warhammer 40K attracts its fanbase and more critically makes this statement to conclude his thoughts: "If you find a good community, whatever it is, that's what most people are searching for on this internet.... If they feel they have that in 40K I encourage them to look outside that if they start to feel dissatisfied because ultimately loving something shouldn't be hard."
