In this scenario at the beginning of the year 1300 AD a Mysterious being appears. This being looks exactly like the Grim Reaper. He goes from nation to nation killing off all the Nobility in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America and various island chains. He even takes out the Pope of the time. He is seen killing these Nobles by both military and regular civilian alike. He does not kill any person who is not in Royal Authority or equivalent. After the Kull of various leadership. He is seen from time to time in following years. Whenever an attempt establish a new Nobility takes place. He kills the candidate. He does not go after Despots. He does not go after Prime Ministers, Presidents or Governors. Only Royals. How does this event and series of events affect world history from this point forward?

Special Note: This being is a supernatural entity. He is impervious to all know weapons of the time. He does not attack random everyday people and will only cause them to fall asleep if they attempt to interfere in his mission. He can appear anywhere and can't be stopped by fortifications. The only escape a Noble would have is to renounce their title and live the life of a peasant for the balance of their days.

We either see a fundamental change in human nature or its extinction as a species. People create nobility mostly as a path of least resistance. It releaves them of the burden of having to make decisions for one self, it fills that void of having something to worship and it's practically the easy bake cooking of creating a society. Suddenly that easy mode goes away. Either humanity will be unavailable to handle it in which case they will try to establish a nobility over and over again till every last person dies, or you will see a vastly more headstrong and independent species that's more tribal, perhaps even going as far as to reject anything more complex that might even remotely bring about a noble caste for fear of bringing about society collapse by doing so.

I honestly seeing the former happening though. I mean look how God warned Israel about the follies of having a king and they still asked for it because they romanticized the prestige of having a king.

Heck look how many governments HAVE collapsed within our species and will still seem to rotate between 3 main failed forms of societal building with the justification of "this time it will be different."

This time it is Graduation Day. Humanity is being kicked out of the Bird Nest. It has been given the tools to fend for itself. Either they stand or they fall.

Shit.We would have revolutions taking power,or societes backing to tribes.
Best case scenario - monks ruling in Europe and Asia.

Since nobility= military caste, a lot of places fall into chaos as the non-noble soldiers and bureaucrats start fighting for control.
This might be a major boon for all the condottieri and non-noble but still oligarchical families like the Medici.
It might also let the Papal states expand their influence.

What we will get is nobles in name only running "democracies" and leagues of free cities like on Italy, but greatly expanded.

Overall, since they will have to work for a living, the quality of life for people and technological development rates will improve over time.

A total creep
Without Nobility to to impose order, the Lower Orders descend into Chaos. As whenever somebody arises from the riff-raff that person is cut down, this means The End.

There were places that were run democratic/in a republican fashion.

Venice, to a great degree the various Hanseatic free cities, Switzerland.

Similarly, the Turks didn't have an aristocracy, since both the janissaries, the vezirs and all other functionaries were basically non-hereditary civil servants.

No Royals, no Barons, only Men, God and his avenging angel the Ripper. :)
