AHC: With a PoD in 1938 or earlier, have either Poland or Czechoslovakia successfully hold out against the Nazis indefinitely without direct Western military involvement on their side (though large-scale Western aid to them and extremely heavy Western sanctions on Nazi Germany are certainly very fair game). In other words, similar to what Ukraine is doing against Russia right now or what Iraq did against Iran during the Iran-Iraq War.

Well, for this to happen Czechoslovakia must resist the Germans and not call for help from the west like OTL but immediately mobilize and threaten war.
The only thing they have to do is to force France to be an intermediary between them and Poland. Poland+Czechoslovakia is enough to defend against Germany. To be more precise, Germany in 38 is very weak and suddenly has to defend a huge border against the fourth and fifth army of the continent with only mostly poorly trained conscripts.

The strength of the Germans lay solely in the radio and the cooperation of their forces to a level unattainable by any army in the world.
Here? They don't have the Czech industry and the equipment of the Czechoslovak army which greatly strengthened their forces.
The only thing the Germans have above the Czech-Polish is the navy. The air forces are equal, the current version of the BF109 is not yet too advanced in relation to the Polish PZL.11c nor sufficiently numerous so even Czech biplanes will suffice.

In fact, in this scenario, it will be more for the Germans to defend themselves than to attack.
It's going to be a tough battle and it's going to be all about whether or not the Poles and the Czechs can deliver a strong enough blow for Germany to surrender on its own. Indeed.And czech have about 400 B.534 fighters better then P.11c.And better tanks then germans in 1938.
