AHC: Advance West Indies/British Empire emancipation by 20 or 30 years

Buba

A total creep
I agree with @Knowledgeispower - in OTL no drivers to do so, to the contrary, strong drivers NOT to do it. So, only POD is no (big) war. Which is not happening - Europe was running on a cycle of a major conflict every 6-10 years.
And frankly ... what difference does it make?
Did emancipation change the British West Indies in any meaningful way?
Negro slaves replaced by Indian semi-slaves ...
Move emancipation of slaves in British West Indies to 1890 - is the world any different?

It isn't happening during a war where the UK needs every pound it can muster so you need to POD away the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars
Easy.Valmy battle was not win on battlefield - prussian do not get order to advance, only fired with artillery. Before that, french mob run after that, now they hold. Why prussian commander do not made order? becouse french buyed him with jewels from french aristocrats.
But if he refused,or if prussian King who was there take command,Republic would end in 1792.Much better world,i would say.
Lenin& other psychopaths would not try revolutions if they do not knew, that it could succed.

But i agree with @Buba ,that earlier emancipation would change little.

I think that could be arranged, and in a way that does not derail the spread of some French Revolutionary and ‘rights of man’ ideas:

a) if George iii dies or commits suicide or abdicates or is permanently institutionalized during his madness in the 1780s, his son takes the throne as George IV, and he appoints Charles James fox to the prime ministry. Fox is disinclined to war with revolutionary France, and the French revolutionaries are inclined to not mess things up by declaring war on or provoking Britain.

presto, less Franco-British war, plus more radical Whig government.

b)fox and Talleyrand are able to work out a peace deal in 1806 that sticks, ending the Napoleonic Wars about a decade early.
