Twitter rolls out plans 'to protect' US midterm elections and suppress 'misleading information'
Twitter states that their Civic Integrity Policy "covers the most common types of harmful misleading information about elections and civic events."
Twitter is going to try to fuck with the elections again, 'suppressing misinformation' as the excuse again.
This is going to be 2020 2.0, and they still have a couple months to try other shit too.
At this point...does twitter matter?
Nope. Not to the right, at least. We all know they're trash that will censor everything right wing.
It matter's whether we like it or not, because the fact is many world leaders, celebs, politicians, and 'normies' are on Twitter.
And if Twitter is doing this, you can bet FB/Meta is going to be right behind them.

But it isn't going to help them when time comes to buy groceries or fill gas tanks.
My mom considered it a steal when she just spent 180 dollars on the first of those. For a week of food. Under Trump that would have been 2 weeks of food.

Yeah it matters to an extent, but things are getting bad enough that twitter not letting people talk about it doesn't make people not see what's happening to their bank accounts when they buy groceries and gas.
We are at the point where the people who are going to vote right don't need twitter to know they're going to vote right wing.
This might end up being a good thing, as it will send people to, and thereby cause the growth, of alternate media.

MD Governor Lawrence Hogan, Jr., (R) endorsed Tiffany Smiley (R) in the 2022 WA St US Senate election against United States Senator Patty Murray (D-WA St). Looks like Murray will have a dogfight on her hands if she doesn't take Smiley seriously this fall.

Love the leftist replies saying this is fake or a false flag. Ya know, the same stuff they criticize right-wingers as "conspiracy theorists" for. Anyone prominent say this should get the Alex Jones slander/libel treatment.
Anyway, whats the general consensus on how the midterms are looking. CNN is claiming that the Row v Wade decision is going to win it for the Democrats, but I think they are huffing copium.
I really don't think it will help them all that much.
Most people have realized that Roe's death simply punted the issue back to the states by now. Which means blue states still have abortion and red states have the option to limit it. Its a thing where the galvanising aspect of it fades with time. Meanwhile the price of gas is high, foods getting more expensive, and inflations pretty bad.
I see a whole lot of things coming together to fuck the democrats on this.
