Dems have won Alaska's only House seat in a special election. The seat is subject to the Nov 8th election for re-election, but it is unlikely that the seat will be flipped back to the GOP at that point, if the special election already went to the Dems.
Hmm, well, I agree that the winner of this election should be considered the favorite to win the next, but the final margin wasn't very impressive, as I recall. It's entirely possible for it to go the other way.
Ranked choice inherently favors middle-of-the-road candidates who don't really appeal strongly to any factions but are considered the least offensive by all of them - as I said, this is how the Canadian Tories have managed to box out insurgent candidates and promote milquetoast weather-vanes beloved by none save the established party bosses twice in a row.
Only for as long as the majority of voters find such candidates an acceptable backup choice. If the people grow sufficiently disgusted with the establishment simply occupying the center will not save them. For example, I disagree with accelerationists but their second choice would not be a moderate but rather an extremist on the opposite side. Or the RCV system could allow moderates who are not part of the establishment to surface.

I agree that Murkowski's support is transparently to make any future independent run after going runner-up to another Republican in the primary immeasurably easier than her 2010 tour de force. I just don't care. RCV is in my eyes a better expression of the will of the people. The open jungle primary preceding it, however, I have concerns about.

Add 5-7% for republicans for any poll. That's my go-to for deciphering polls.

Translation: this is a neck and neck race.
Trafalgar has some accuracy rates in previous Senate and Gubernatorial races. I'll be shocked if the Republican Wave cracks over a Category 73 in two months.

However, I'm waiting for more polls on Vermont US Senate race

IN STATE AFTER STATE… Democrats Are Running as Republicans to Get Into Office – They Even Have a Name for It – They Call it “Secret Sleepers”

Democrats are running as Republicans in races across America today. It’s the only way they can win in a majority of locations around the country. So they pretend to be Republicans until after they are elected.

They even have a name for these Democrat plants. They’re called “secret sleepers.

In June Project Veritas released leaked audio of Democrat US Senate candidate Krystle Matthews speaking on the phone with an inmate at Perry Correctional Institution. Democrat Matthews called for “secret sleepers” to infiltrate the South Carolina Republican party.

Krystle Matthews: “We need some secret sleepers. Like you need them to run as the other side, even though they for our side. And we need them to win… We need people to run as Republicans in these local elections. This is the only way you’re gonna change the dynamics in South Carolina.”
Democrats have been running “secret sleepers” for years now.

The Gateway Pundit wrote about this phenomenon earlier this year.

In Missouri–

** Republicans hold a 24 to 10 advantage in the Missouri Senate.
** Republicans hold a 114 to 48 advantage in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Trump won the state by 15 points.

Recently, Missouri “Republicans” announced they are going to destroy the state by pushing ranked-choice voting. This voting scheme endorsed by Democrats and alleged GOP donors ensures that Democrats win out in all future elections in Missouri.

Missouri “Republicans” also passed a new gas tax in July at the peak of the Biden gas price spike.

In Alaska–

Republicans allowed ranked-choice voting to pass through referendum in 2020 allowing Democrats to steal all future elections. In August the Democrats “won” their first House race in 50 years despite 60% of the vote being Republican voters.

Wicked, selfish Lisa Murkowski supported this effort to destroy the state just so she had a better chance to “win” her election.

In Wisconsin —

“Republican” Speaker Robin Vos pushed for ballot drop boxes in the state. Within 48 hours of the release of his election investigation, he threw the investigator under the bus by disregarding his call to decertify the election results and eliminate the WEC.

The Wisconsin Senate Majority leader, a “Republican”, is even worse and completely ignores the will of conservative voters.

In Wyoming–

Liz Cheney.

In Ohio
The “Republican” majority of lawmakers kicked redistricting over to a court to decide. Despite holding a huge majority they punted on one of their most important responsibilities.

In Arizona

The Attorney General has been sitting on election audit results for months despite the fact that several election workers were caught on video illegally deleting information from voting machines before they were turned over to investigators.

The Maricopa County Board of Directors all ran as Republicans — All rule as Democrats.

And in Georgia

A report at the Georgia Record revealed that Georgia’s corrupt Secretary of State Raffensperger, his sidekick CFO Gabe Sterling, and his Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs, were all connected to a firm that groomed Democrats for Republican jobs.

No wonder these individuals did all they could to prevent President Trump from winning reelection!

We now see that this is happening in America today.
Democrats have lost their appeal. Their policies are insane and dangerous. They have resorted to lying and cheating.

Recently, we heard from an anonymous source that Democrats have been running as Republicans in Republican districts for years. It’s a tactic of the left.

This may also explain the actions and non-action from the national Republican party.
Trump voters and conservatives deserve better.

Folks, it’s time to wake up before we lose our country completely!

Dude, why are you praising the Democrats’ dirty tactics here? Because sending your agents into the other party to defraud its voters, govern opposite of how you promised, and quite possibly conduct espionage is… well, dishonest is putting it lightly.

Dishonest, scummy, bullshit, and morally bankrupt is what it is.

It should be illegal to lie about your political affiliations and inclinations when running for office.

Well, I guess if we punish companies for false advertising or fraud, it only makes sense to do the same here.

… Too bad the Establishment doesn’t care to do that. Never mind how Congress would stuff the “Transparency in Politics Act” with all sorts of riders and pork-barreling that’d turn a straightforward bill with just a few lines of text into a tome-sized nightmare that’ll regularly be amended to Hell later. :(

It would be such a shame if some of those Dems disguised as Republicans....went native.

Not sure I follow? Are you suggesting they’ll convert into MAGA Republicans after opening their eyes and having a genuine change of heart, or what?

This is coming from the party who tried to overturn the 2020 election, so if one party wants to play dirty, the other party has a right to play dirty as well.

If Al Gore would have tried doing in 2000-2001 what Trump tried doing in 2020-2021 (trying to throw out electoral votes, et cetera), then I suspect that Republicans would have howled to the Moon about Gore's conduct.

Are they actually lying, though? Because one could switch parties shortly before an election, no? Whether the party switch is sincere or not, well, that's up for the voters to decide, no?
