What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

@The Whispering Monk I chose what I did because it would be unfair to count subspace as thw Warp because I don't see them as the same. Add in I feel like that would make this heavily lopsided

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

In Battle Fleet Gothic, the games, iirc they were not able to go through shields but I could be wrong. Then again the torpedoes of the Imperium are somewhat diffrent then that of the Federation. Again I am getting the Lance weapons based of them being lasers and what lexicanum has. We know...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

All the geller field is is a bubble of real space. Someone already provided starfleet shields do the same based on. Them going to a realm that changes constantly and not being effected

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

One should mention the Imperium can hit Necron ships which are fast and don't use Warp. Like, very very very fast. As a quote goes "can reach the other side of the galaxybin yhe blink of an eye"

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

How often do they do that? Because I have never seen it done outside of the new trek movies. And have they done this on a routine enough basis as seen during major wars they have fought? Like the Dominon war? Because the IoM will use thier high end weapons a lot more then other factions And a...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

And a vortex torpedo would not care about anything the Federation has when suddenly the ship is ripped apart and half or the whole ship has been ripped apart amd put into the Warp. Also have a nearly light speed Nova Cannon type for it Hell, the Imperium has Nova Cannon shells that turn into...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

40k has over 467 novels alone. And there really isn't any known Weakness that is exploited by enemies in 40k. Take down the shields and board then if one can. Ram them. Shoot then till they go kaboom. Basically Battlefleet Gothic. One could say weakspots for Imperium ships are to take the...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

The smallest IoM ships are barley under a km The durability of 40k ships is VERY durable. They can take being rammed into each other as part of a space hulk. It is also a setting that ramming is a valid tactic to either board or destroy.

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

They are able to engage the Eldar doing thier fuckery and are capable of engaging the very fast Necrons in soace. Hitting things moving fast isn't hard. Then again ship size diffrence is huge here. How big is the biggest fed ship?

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

Well 40k cloaking is diffrent mechanism then ST. Most likely yes. They can hit Eldar even with the sensors they use

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

They have Lance batteries which are able to fire at the speed of light. And they face the Eldar which make sensors see multiple or all over the place. Can't rember exactly. 40k arnt slouches when ir comes to space combat either. The only ones they struggle to ever defeat are the Necrons...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

Then yes. Then I mean, the closest you get to neutralizing the Warp are the necron pylons and that is about it. They wouldn't be able to learn exactly how it works as it...well it doesn't work like normal physics. It makes its own rules in it. Like, I am not trying to say "They can't figure it...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

Wait what? Isn't discovery supposed to be a prequel? Okay let's go with the Federation we all can agree on. What ever series is newest that isn't 32nd

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

I thought it took place in multiple galaxies And that is like saying the Necrons will release the C'tan loose amongst the Federation if being of energy exist and ones the Old Onee couldn't just wave away. And yes i can pick amd choose. This isnt a vs if "Federation with a few uber powwred...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

Idk, C'tan are certainly more complex then them but that's because they are wierd. Imperium has something similarcalled a virus bomb. It just gives all living things. so thier computers ohtside if data wouldnt be subseptable to the 40k version of the logoc plague. That is a point in thier...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

What the Eldar do isn't really ECM, it is more what thier ships do. I mean it is and isn't ECM. It is basically thier systems appear as more them one or targeting can't lock on accurately. Stuff like that. I would have to dig Battlefleet Gothic. So nothing super advanced like SW droids or many...

What If? Star Trek Federation is transported into the 40k galaxy

What is the biggest conflict the Federation have been apart of and jave gone all out on that we know of? Back to my whole depends on what planets they stumble across. I put then in Sigmentum Tempestus. I mean, 40k doesn't even have beings like that AFAIK, so it would just be Star Trek things...
