To my ear the singer sounds Italian. I've heard that Italians tend to speak Latin with a strong Italian accent, which is what ecclesial Latin uses. However, eccledial Latin comes from the vulgate, the lower class form, and so does not represent anything close to the original.

Dissonance between the lyrics and video is a bit jarring. Guy is being all romantic but the video is classic rap-video back-up hos. Maybe that's intentional, or maybe they just needed some T&A to get views.

A modern performance of an opera that was first written in 1735. I was curious if this was some kind of tone-deaf modern thing or a cringy older thing. The latter, as it turns out. This seems fairly early for the noble-savage though, I thought that mainly started during the 18-1900's. I...

Sabaton finally did an English version of their Swedish Royal Guard song. Very... historical, with the Muslim troops storming the Swedish throneroom. Not quite sure how Sweden is going to take that particular imagery.

Interesting. The map is of the Tsardom at its fullest extent (cental Asia, Bellarus, Ukraine, Finland, Baltic, Eatern Poland are all included), and it speaks of a "Free Russia". Is this written as a counter-revolutionary song about the Siberian White Russian troops led by Alexander Kolchak?
