Star Trek The General Star Trek Thread - From TOS to Corporate Schenanigans

They will do like with 007 where "kirk" becomes a title and the next one is a (pick atleast 2) gay, trans, black, muslim, disabled or woman. Anyways the last startrek series I watched was enterprise and the last 2 movies were the first 2 of the alternate timeline thing with the young guy. I...

While I dislike shadow governments, as a whole the federation is way too naive and relatively innocent/bumbling fools living in their utopia that they legitimately need people in the background making the decisions. Theres probably a ton of minor to moderate things they have engineered and kept...

Kinda related to the above post regarding Dukat I remember seeing DS9 before 9/11 and then afterward as an adult. With new eyes all I could see was terrorists that could not be reasoned with, could never let a grudge go, would never be content and that were always sure of their righteousness...

I never got why he was an ensign the entire time. Is there some sort of "head count" quota of ensigns that need to exist or something? He was one of the main characters of Voyager, and at least as competent as many captains/commanders and such. Just didn't want as much "title" bloat perhaps...

Star Trek The General Star Trek Thread - From TOS to Corporate Schenanigans

I saw the first episode of lower decks, I liked it enough. That being said I didn't really go in with high expectations, but it serves its purpose, a cartoon with a startrek paint on it. It's not trying to dictate cannon or lore to you(so far). There was minimal if any outright sexual humor as...
