I imagine we could at least find out if any of them never came home; because by this point they're probably not trying to get out or contact our government because they're dead.

Sounds rather costly and difficult, in order to ensure that seven children are dead. Maybe they should, you know, not do that? Just a thought.

A fair point; but regardless, the seemingly inevitable collateral damage involved in these kinds of operations are unacceptable. Maybe we need that risk; so that those making the decisions don't do so on a whim, and as a consequence needlessly murder innocent civilians.

The use of drone strikes ought to be deemed a war crime, and banned.

In individual battles, maybe; but we've lost every single war we've been involved in since the second World War, in large part because of that mindset that keeps rejecting the very idea of our government and military being accountable to the American people.

This is news to people? This is what happens with drone strikes; collateral damage and false positives are par for the course. It's why I oppose the practice altogether; it just doesn't work a lot of the time, and kills way too many innocent people.

Even if they're not, something like that would be the final nail in the coffin for our reputation in the Middle East. Honestly, after this debacle is all over, I doubt anyone in that part of the world will be willing to help us ever again; at least not for several generations.
