Media/Journalism Cringe Megathread - Hot off the Presses

The funny part was when he openly started talking into the call on a livestream while CNN was too incompetent to change the call properly. Oh and CNN raging and threatening to sue for things they've also done... Though I suppose O Keefe should thank his lucky stars that no one started...

An interesting choice in title by the Guardian which they later fixed after regular people took one look at it and wondered if their editor's brain had broken. https://archive.is/azKKY https://archive.is/Qwen3

This story had already popped up before if memory serves but this is something of an update on it: https://dailycaller.com/2020/11/22/china-daily-propaganda-wall-street-journal/ Basically, several news media such as the Wallstreet Journal and Los Angeles Times among others were being paid...

You know I've been to events which have had some low turnout in my time but that's the first time I've seen it happen to a parliament session.

The 101st was still able to mount effective resistance from their position though. To use an analogy, it's the difference between being outnumbered and besieged inside a castle whose walls are still intact and being in one whose walls have all collapsed and is now being overrun. In one the...

Only if they're still able to muster effective resistance in that position. And for Thermopylae I've been unable to find how effective the rear guard who actually was encircled and fought to the death truly was on the day they were encircled, rather then the total casualties the Persians...

This isn't really a jab at you two but more a pet peeve of mine at the phrase. That statement really should have come with a caveat of "in some positions where they have no escape said utmost strength will be negated by the sheer disadvantageousness of the position they are stuck in." because...

So, NPR decided to try and frame someone who had to flee from "peaceful protestors" and ran one of them over after they attacked their car and pulled a gun on her as a right wing vehicle attacker. Unfortunately for them video evidence existed and the people who attacked her went to jail because...
