not really, the frontier there is too valuable to give up, and besides the populace integrated very well. (Personally I would have preferred the Ultimas proposal there. besides moving the border would only move the green regions you showed. the Donbass is the way it is partially because the...

Well yes, but that is nothing new. The frontier of empires always resembles that. You would even see similar features on the US Mexico border.

Not really, the blue saltire on the red background was developed because all the other confederate flags looked to similar to the Union flag at a distance, and so they developed a more distinct one. Also since the Russian czar backed the Union the confederacy wasn’t going to copy them.

The blue saltire on the red field is a historical standard of the Russian navy, similar flags were used as far back as 1700. https://tmg110.tripod.com/russia1.htm

There is no good side in any conflict, and my answer is we should support neither side, the US can and should be self sufficient. And as others pointed out Ukraine shelled the Donbas for years ignoring the Minsk agreement, so no side in either conflict has clean hands...

I mean that we lost there isn’t up for debate. You can say it was a political failure, but in the end it doesn’t matter whether the failure was from the generals, or the politicians a defeat is a defeat.

    1. Countries invade each other that is how the world is. There was no need to get involved in a regional fight 2. My example was to show that claiming an intervention or war is justified because one possible alternate scenario is worse is pointless because there is no way of knowing how the...
