Mirelurks in FO3 is one of the best additions to Fallout Bethesda ever did, its appropriately 50's monster movie, fits the universe, isn't powercreep and even just LOOKS nice. I also like the addition of MedX, it also fits the universe and I am frankly willing to admit it should've been in FO1-2...
