Idea: In a fantasy world, Orcs & Elves are of the same race

All males are Orcs and all females are Elves

Due to a strange event called “the seperation” these two VERY long lived halves live apart and only on occasion meet up to mate

When Humans or Dwarves or another race pop by, they have to go work together

This turns into a Harem-RomCom involvinh relatively friendly but thuggish looking Orcs and their Elf waifus

Slight Extra Unnecessary Lore: The Orcs(Male Elves)consider themselves to be “improved Elves” as before they were as a race, “squishy wizards” and didn’t develop that much muscle and were instead a bunch of prettyboys

images

Now, they have stronger musclepower and sharp teeth and tusks to tear humans apart with

images

And are also the smiths, engineers & architects and warriors of the “Elf Race” to the females’ traders, accountants, mages etc
So like elephants pretty cool idea.

Only then did I notice her clothes. She was wearing the shapeless drab jumpsuit of a civilian caste instead of her Warrior's uniform.
Well...

Man, that has to be humiliating to a Clanner. Not just being in a culture where the cut-off age for "usefulness" is extraordinarily low, meaning that you will get replaced by someone at some point, but to be (seemingly) replaced by your own flesh and blood...

Yeah. Not fun.

Males and females are separated except during mating season. In self segregated herds of one gender.

That admittedly provides a strange picture of contrasts

Beautiful woodland villages made of trees or beautiful elven cities like in LOTR

While the Orcs live in mudhuts or surrounded by smoke and metal and not much hygiene

Idea: A Pulp Author from the USA reincarnates to Japan and decides to do his dream there

He gets an editor who directs him to have anime girls in it and harem-ecchi elements

He is VERY confused and weirded out by this cute illustrator girl he's now working with and how his life is suddenly resembling a harem manga

Idea: A reincarnated Robert E. Howard fresh from his suicide wakes up in the body of Japanese boy who is a TRAP, in a universe where he never existed. He chooses to become a Web Novel author, that does PULP, upon being contacted to rewrite for Light Novels. REH finds himself as a Harem Protagonist.

Idea: A Supervillain decides to make an army of absolutely FABULOUS SUPERHUMAN minions

Png

In order to help in his conquest of ZA WARUDO

a975bc88d65e8edf5a2424d28ec40a5e.jpg

Who were surprisingly not-so-scary looking or dark armour into battle

With the ability to control their own bodily functions so as to ALWAYS be absolutely FABULOUS even millennia into his rule

Unfortunately, they're all somehow a bunch of moronic narcissists who spend their time posing in front of the mirror, giving out homoerotic undertones, walking near-naked(and only wearing pieces of the body armour) and being idiots

The supervillain goes off to open up a restaurant and makes ever growing meat supplies from a literal Meat Plant he created

They are all then attacked by an army of VEGANS who protest the Meat Plant and the government that wants them to close down and are annoyed by how his "minions" aren't social distancing and aren't wearing masks and are openly helping each other build up a sweat in melees

The super villain calls them homophobes and that's it

Chapter 1
-x-x-x-

I was born of Earth in the year 1980, I disappeared via stumbling through a glowing green portal in 2020. When the cloud of smoke that obscured my arrival dissipated, I was facing a castle and monsters and a foreign language and dress. And the pink haired girl that kissed me while I was still confused.

With her kiss she, unknowingly, burned runes into my very soul. Runes that would provide me with absolute mastery of any weapon that I laid my hands on. It was five years of war and bodyguard duty for an entitled noble heir but in the end she matured into someone of worth and released me from my bondage.

Alas, her spell interacted poorly with a metaphysical event in one of the neighboring realities and I found myself falling through the sky over New York with flying aliens all about me; aliens that I recognized as firmly fictitious - the Chitauri of MCU fame.

I had little time to process that event, falling towards the ground from the upper atmosphere has a way of focusing ones mind, but managed to save myself by summoning forth the one thing that I was truly greatly to Louise for; my soulbound lightsaber. It was a blade of pure Void, pure non-existence, and could cut through anything. It also had the side effect of activating the Gandálfr runes emblazoned into my soul, causing them to draw energy from the Void to turn my body into a more perfect weapon of superhuman capability.

I smashed into a giant, flying, armored, whale hard enough that I would have gone splat without the runes but with them I was recovered in moments and carving my way through the whales brain with my blade.

I became an Avenger and it made me arrogant beyond belief. It seemed so simple; tracking down Kamar-Taj to become a Master of the Mystic Arts, using my out-of-universe knowledge to improve myself, to become a god for all practical purposes. And in truth, it was. Getting Tony to spring for all the seed capital I would ever need cost me nothing more than letting him run some tests on my blade. Learning the Mystic Arts, at least to the extent I was interested in, was a years study after a short conversation with the Ancient One.

With Sling Ring, blade, and the reputation as an Avenger it all was simply easy. By the time Thanos arrived, I was rocking a body enhanced with Extremis, the Super Soldier Serum, Luke Cage's strength and durability, and spidey sense while wearing Iron Man armor of vibranium nanites powered by my soul. I knew what was coming and thought we were ready. Ha!

The Thanos shown on screen was a pale shadow of the reality. He stomped all over us, and I survived. Less broken than others, perhaps, but it still left scars. I thought the arrogance pounded out of me, but then came the Time Heist came and I went to Vormir with Natasha. I had the Soul Stone in hand, an exceptionally strong body, and the knowledge of Kama-Taj at my beck and call. I already had immortality of the body, so why not also gain immortality of the soul?

I was a fool, oh I survived my use of the Stone and thought it enough to take Tony's place at the end. Ha! My body was nowhere near powerful enough to survive channeling the totality of a universe through the flawed, if brilliant, medium of the nano-gauntlet. Nor could my soul remain without an anchor. And yet, I couldn't die.

It would have been naught but a half life of unending torment if not for Extremis. That little enhancement tapped into the Phoenix Force to work its magic and the Phoenix is the nexus of all life in all of existence; it is creation and destruction, but fundamentally its purpose is the rebirth of universes when they are old and worn out.

I died and was reborn in another world, again on Earth but this time it was the year 2492. While my soul remained the same, my body was wholly new and lacking in the genetic augmentations that made me so extraordinarily superhuman. No more battle precognition via Spidey Sense, no more unbreakable skin or super strength from Luke Cage, no more "peak human" abilities from Steve Rogers. And no more Mystic Arts; this was a new universe and the old had been destroyed and recreated. My Gandálfr runes, my void blade, and the enhanced healing of Extremis are all that made the transition for they were all that was embedded in my soul.

My second life was lived in a dystopian cyberpunk world where humanity obtained immortality via mind transference. A world where the flesh was nothing but a sleeve of carbon, to be exchanged like clothes, and the cortical stack was the person. My "mother" was a strung out whore who was put on ice for fifty years when I was two - smashing the stack of your pimp while high is no minor crime. I was an orphaned child on an Earth where the only real value I had was my body; fortunately I still had the mind of an adult and a literally perfect ability to wield any weapon.

In the end, I became an Envoy. It sounds so pretty and diplomatic, doesn't it? Ha! Don't let the name fool you, the United Nations Protectorates Envoy Core where the most feared individuals in the 'verse. I signed up at 18, thinking it would be a breeze with my gifts.

Again, I was a fool. It wasn't physical ability that made an Envoy? How could it be when sleeves were made to order and could be changed like clothes. No, it was mental ability that made us so very feared that the Protectorates founding charter had been amended to bar us from ever holding office. Ten thousand years of subjective experience in a VR environment indistinguishable from reality; that was Envoy training. At first it was focused on mastering our own minds, on knowing ourselves. Once we mastered that, we were broken in every manner until we actually gained self mastery. There is no torture that you can name that an Envoy has not just survived but experienced to the point where it can ignored. Once we were forged, we were trained; diplomacy, combat of all types and with all weapons, electronics, medicine, assassination, insurgency, counter insurgency, the list is endless.

All to make an individual who could be Needlecast onto any world in the verse, downloaded into any body, and accomplish any mission from a discreet assassination to front line combat to regime destabilization. Of course, there was one fatal flaw in the Envoy program. To become an Envoy, to be able to do what we could do, required total self-awareness and self mastery. Indoctrination, both deliberate and the kind caused by simple osmosis from living in a society, doesn't work. Brainwashing doesn't take. Afterall, we needed to be able to infiltrate groups that could literally code loyalty into the DNA of the body and read a brain. So loyalty? Well 90% of Envoys ended up rogue, and almost 30% of us survived our self-approved career changes.

I made it three centuries as an independent before I died without an intact backup.

Again I was reborn, except this time was different. I was living almost thirty thousand years of life as an alien parasite, yet I had no ability to influence the decisions made. Goa'uld we were called, an aquatic species that evolved on a backwater and had only two noteworthy traits - the ability to take a great many other species as hosts and a genetic memory.

It had taken thousands of years but the goa'uld had conquered the galaxy. First in the body of Unas, a bipedal species from the homeworld, and later in the body of humans when Ra - the Supreme System Lord - discovered Earth in approximately 8000 BC. In the thousands of years since that date, the species has gotten lazy and begun to belive its own claims of divinity. Still, when you rule virtually all of the Milky Way essentially uncontested and have done so for millenia; it does become a bit more understandable.

It was only when I was done reliving the memories of my progenitors that I gained true self awareness and realized that I was a goa'uld, now mature and resting in the pouch of a Jaffa warrior.

Joy. I was one of the mass spawned goa'uld, son of Danu and Ba'al and part of a batch of a hundred thousand prim'ta that Ba'al had bought from the queen for several tons of refined naquadah. My fate, in the normal course of things, was to mature in a Jaffa (where my shit would grant the Jaffa a superhuman immune system), be removed after seven years, and then be tossed into a blender so that the Naquadah in my body could be recovered while my genetic material was used to make a refreshing drink for the goa'uld.

Fortunately for my survival prospects, my incubator died in a slave rebellion on the world of Yatooth. It was a minor world of Ba'al's, one of no real note with a few thousand humans, a handful of Jaffa overseers, and a small Naquadah mine. My first proper host was the fourteen year old male who had been detailed to strip the bodies of the "demon soldiers".

So this is kinda a jumpchain story, except it isn't starting at the beginning of the chain. While I wouldn't rule out any potential sequels, that is long into the future and for now this is basically just a Stargate story.

First world: Familiar of Zero.
Summoned by Louise in place of Saito
-Gandalf: Essentially Dresden Files Intellectus for weapons (literally absolute mastery of any weapon that he touches, when touching a weapon he can use it to the best of its ability to be used and understands it perfectly) along with gaining increased strength, agility, body control, stamina, and healing while holding a weapon. Overtime, the body will be reshaped into its peak to be the best possible weapon. Only dies of old age if they cease to use weapons as runes steadily move body to ideal form.
-Derfflinger Mk.2 : Created by Louise and bound to the Gandalf runes, it is a blade of pure Void magic which eats anything it comes in contact with (matter, energy, magic, souls, whatever) via being basically a direct portal to the Void. Can be summoned at will by Gandalf, is infinitely sharp and durable, size of blade can be adjusted within limits by Gandalf, when summoned forth the Gandalf runes activate. Derfflinger migrated to the Void Saber upon his old blades destruction and now has a symbiotic relationship with Gandalf.

Second World: MCU
Emerges from Battle for New York portal thanks to interaction with Louise World Portal.
-Immortal Soul: Thanks to use of the soulstone, soul can not be destroyed and is beyond the reach of death. Memories are now part of soul. Ability to sense own soul.
-Phoenix Force connection: Enhanced healing abilities, upon destruction of any anchor(s) in universe the soul is drawn into the Phoenix Force where it will reside until the universe is next reborn - where it will be reincarnated.

Third World: Altered Carbon (books, not show)
Emerges a hundred or so years before canon, becomes an Envoy.
Envoy Training: Absolute self knowledge and mastery, a great many skills.

Fourth World: Stargate
Born as a Goa'uld.

SG timeline for this is hazy but somewhere between one and two thousand years before canon. I'm thinking 0 AD simply for a nice round number. SI has no SG knowledge.

Story wise, this will pretty much be a straight up goa'uld fic.

SI powers:
-Immortal Soul
-Gandalf: Absolute mastery of any weapon wielded, draws on the Void to empower physical abilities while wielding weapons, Void slowly reshapes body to physical perfection as it empowers body. Void saber.
-Phoenix Connection: Upon death, soul resides in Phoenix Force until reborn in next universe. Perfect regeneration ability so long as body is intact enough to count as "alive" with matter created ex nihilo via Phoenix Force. Grows to physical peak and will then be regenerated to that form until killed.
-Envoy training: Absolute self mastery.
-Goa'uld form: Genetic memories of the goa'uld, upon taking a host and supplanting the host the body becomes as his own and thus gains the Gandalf and Phoenix abilities.

Future plans:
If this gets completed, I'm thinking a jump to Naruto (as TenTen) or Skyrim (as Dragonborn). But maybe Heroes as an Evo with flight in the 1960's. Order might also go Naruto, Heroes, Worm. In the Naruto case, all that would transfer is ability to use chakra (although it would have to be retrained, and bloodlines wouldn't transfer). In the Skyrim case, only Shouts would transfer. In Heroes, the flight would transfer. In Worm, no trigger and so nothing would actually be gained.

So thoughts?

Haven’t seen a Jumper quest/fic thread around here yet

Honestly my only critique is that it feels sue-ish even if I actually kinda like that stuff, just sounds like almost too many powers when I read

That said, I love Body Supremacy powers mixed in with being real skilled, even if the skill is via the superpower

I mean being fair, if you have knowledge of the MCU and get dumped in there in any kind of situation to actually be able to interact with the plot then you have to be kinda incompetent to not become a beast. And making your soul unable to die/pass on is kinda exactly what the Soul Stone would be able to do. MCU Extremis also dovetails really neatly with the Phoenix Force, and that combined with the Soul Stone provide a great excuse for the whole jumpchain thing. Die, you get shoved into the phoenix force to wait for the next universe to be reborn.

Book Envoy training is kinda absurdly beastly. The whole purpose of it is to create agents who can be downloaded into any body anywhere in the 'verse and immediately function at full capacity in any role. They have to be able to distinguish between reality and even the best VR environment, and be able to crash said VR environment from inside of it. How to tap into all of the bodies senses and consciously process the information normally subconsciously filtered out, control over all autonomous bodily functions (including the ability to will their hearts to stop beating), the ability to at will push their body to 100%, the ability to tap into and use the ingrained reflexes and muscle memory of the sleeve, perfect memory. This is all Envoy standard abilities that are taught and none of it is physical, it is all a thing of the mind (which is the whole point of the Envoys).

The ZNT stuff is mostly because it provides the excuse to get involved in the MCU plot.

This whole idea actually started because I wanted to do a goa'uld SI but couldn't come up with a good way to justify it. And about the only value the "superpowers" have for the SI in the SG verse is a lack of need for a Sarcophagus. I mean yeah the saber is cool and all but honestly every goa'uld is already an absolute master with every weapon and skill set (genetic memories are cool like that) and a proper goa'uld isn't doing any of their own fighting anyways.

In future 'verses it would be a bit more broken as while the symbiote won't come along, all of the memories will (now residing in the soul) and even if the laws of physics are somewhat different, any 'verse with humans in it is going to he substantially similar simply because the laws of physics have to be largely the same for humans to exist in the first place. Still, without Naq that knowledge is a lot less useful.

Okay, that's all pretty cool admittedly

Honestly, makes me think similar could occur in ASOIAF

Bran Stark, son of Ned Stark and Catelyn Tully, the Inventor of "The Method"

hercules-1.jpg

Given that ASOIAF have elements from GRRM being a fan of Dune, I'd think this ability would have been available or around at some point

Bran Stark wishes to walk again and not simply follow this strange destiny laid up for him

He somehow wargs into himself and regains control of all his bodily functions, as he can take control of animals even with their differing bodily functions and minds

He uses this power and kills Ramsay Snow/Bolton and Bryden "Bloodraven" Rivers knows SOMETHING has changed

Ship of the Line: Twisting Possibility
-x-x-x-

Ascended Plane
Hmm, now isn't this just an opportunity.

Monastery of Dagon
Year 2000 AD

"We must hide the Key, the Alignment approaches and we cannot protect it. Not against her." spoke an elderly monk to his brethren.

"Who could protect it then? She is a hellgod; very few things can match that power and even fewer would be acceptable keepers for the Key." asked another, leading to nearly a minute of silence before another spoke.

"What about the Slayer? She was created to fight the Old Ones and the current one, this Buffy Summers, barely even pays lip service to the Watchers. She should have the power to protect the Key while lacking the knowledge or inclination needed to make her possession of the Key a danger." proposed a third.

The leader of the monks glanced around the table, gauging the faces of his brothers, before eventually giving a nod "It seems better than any of the other options. Now how do we go about things?"

A subtle twitch of Ascended power, shielded from the Others detection by the out-of-phase nature of the Monastery, was all it took to tweak a handful of neurons.

"What about Halloween of '97? I remember something about a Chaos spell twisting reality to let people become their costumes. If we slip the Key in with that, it should be concealed in the greater chaos. And perhaps we could take advantage of the spell's nature to give the key some additional protection."

Sunnydale Library
October 29th, 1997

A twitch of Ascended power, this time concealed by the Hellmouth, was all it took for three teens flipping through books to have ideas implanted in their subconcious.

Ethan's Costume Shop
October 31th, 1997

A final twitch of power, this time concealed in the nature of the working and for the purpose of twisting things just so...

Rupert Giles Apartment
1 AM, November 1st 1997

"What. Happened?" Buffy Summers ground out as she faced her watcher. One of her closest friends was currently missing, the other seemed drastically changed, and she was grappling with thirty thousand years worth of suddenly acquired memory.

Rupert Giles, her Watcher, sighed as he removed his glasses and began to vigorously clean them. Returning the glasses to his face, he pinched the bridge of his nose before meeting his slayers eyes and saying "Ethan Rayne happened." Giles grappled with what to say before sighing, "He is, well was, one of the strongest Chaos mages around and tonight he invoked that power, along with the Hellmouth, to turn everyone wearing a costume that he had marked into that costume.

"As near as I can tell from his notes", he waved a hand at the pile of papers on the coffee table in front of him, "it should have been temporary and relatively safe for the victims. The spell was supposed to reach into the infinite universe to find realities where the costumed individual was real and then create a kind of reality overlay. When it ended, all that should have been left behind were some rapidly fading memories; everyone under the spells effects should have been restored to whatever physical condition they were in when it was cast.

"Whether that actually happened or not...", the elderly man sighed and gave a shrug.

"I will have to use a memory recall spell to be sure, but I'm almost positive the runes that were on the focus of the spell, a bust of Janus, were not the ones Ethan had in his notes. Given that breaking the spell consumed Ethan's soul, I doubt it will be that tidy."

Willow spoke up for the first time then, "Consumed his soul? Are you sure?"

Giles gave a grim nod, "Positive. I've been in the presence of it happening once before and the feel of a working powered by a willingly sacrificed soul is unmistakable. For whatever reason, Ethan chose to make that sacrifice. And the power contained in the willing sacrifice of the soul of a practitioner of his caliber? On All Hallows Eve? On the Hellmouth? In a ritual invoking the god that the practitioner was the high priest of?"

Giles gave a dry snort then, "That power was used for something."

"What something? What could have happened Giles? Because I have to say, these memories? They don't seem to be going anywhere."

Giles gave a start at that, "What do you mean Buffy? Didn't you go as some egyptian princess?"

Buffy gave a disgusted sigh, "I thought I had. I saw a picture of Nefertiti in one of your books the other day and decided to go as her when a costume caught my eye. Now I have thirty thousand years worth of inherited memories in my head."

"WHAT? It's not just me?" exclaimed Willow, causing the other two to look at the redhead.

"What do you mean, Willow? Are you remembering your costumes life as well?" questioned Giles.

"Not just hers, but those of all the heads she inherited as well. And..." she hesitated, before continuing in a small voice, "it's not just memories in my case."

With that last, a blue aura enveloped the young women and the table began to float before returning to the floor.

"That wasn't magic." said Giles, shock clear in his voice.

Willow gave a small shrug, "No, it wasn't. It's called Biotics, and the only way I should be able to use it is if I still have DEUS and Athena."

"DEUS? Athena?" asked Buffy.

"I've been working on a computer game for a few years now, Xander and Jesse helped with the world building, and I decided to go as one of the characters from the game. DEUS stands for Dark Energy Utilization System while Athena was my..., Yana's, bonded AI.

"To understand, I have to give you some background, so bear with me. Yana, the character I went as, was born on Earth in the year 2150, a mere three years after humanity discovered an alien outpost on Mars and became aware of a substance called Element Zero. Element Zero, or Eezo for short, had no electrons or protons and thus no mass - even though it still had volume. If you channeled one electric current through it, it would increase mass in the area while the opposite current would cause mass to decrease. This was called the Mass Effect and, among a great many other things, it allowed Faster Than Light travel by allowing ships to reduce their mass to negative numbers.

"One of the conceits of the setting was that humans could be exposed to Eezo and it could be bonded to the nervous system. While most such exposures caused cancer and death, in some it resulted in the individual being able to manipulate dark energy around them.

"Now, in 2157 humanity would make first contact with an alien species, the Turians, and it would lead to a war that lasted thirty two years. The Turians had been spacefaring for more than a thousand years at that point and were woefully beyond humanity, so we got desperate. Project Prometheus was part of that desperation. It was an attempt to create an honest to god super soldier, and it worked in Yana's case. She had enlisted at eighteen and by the time she was twenty three, she was counted as one of humanities deadliest soldiers; prime recruitment material for the project.

"She already had the full suite of genetic augmentations that humanity provided its soldiers, not Slayer capable but easily enough to take the gold in every Olympic event. Prometheus took that further. Yana's entire nervous system was replaced with countless trillions of nanites, each containing a tiny spec of Eezo; this was DEUS and the results it offered were spectacular. True light speed reflexes, absolutely perfect body control, biotics on a level humanity had barely even dreamt of, a neural interface. It was cybernetics taken to a whole new level, and to control all of those nanites was the AI partener - Athena. The AI seed was encoded in the nanites but it was grown to maturity in conjunction with the hosts brain. The end result was supposed to be perfect man-machine synthesis.

"The only problem was that Prometheus killed every test subject, except Yana got better. In the game, there are a small number of individuals with the genetic mutations to be a pre-Immortal. If those individuals die a violent death, their soul is bonded to their body and they return to life as Immortals. An Immortal will survive anything but the total destruction of their body, even a single cell is enough for them to reform from, unless they die in the presence of another Immortal. If that happens, the survivor gains the Quickening, the soul, of the other Immortal and adds it to their own; all of the losers knowledge and memories become part of the winner.

"Yana was a pre-Immortal and she died in the conversion process."

Buffy hesitated a moment, "And you Willow? What happened?"

"I died. I had Yana's memories but my body wasn't hers and when she fought spike she wasn't prepared for his strength, speed, or durability. He snapped my neck and the spell broke a few minutes later. I got better, so I assume that the spell altered my genetics to have the pre-Immortal genes and when I died I became an Immortal but because it wasn't exactly part of the spell, it was more real. I also have Yana's quickening, and all of the memories that come with it. She didn't take all that many heads, only fifteen actually, but one of them was the head of Cerberus; a very old Immortal who earned the moniker War when he and three companions terrorized Europe and Asia for two thousand years."

Giles gave a start at that, "War? As in the Horsemen?"

Willow gave a grim nod, "And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from Earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.

"In that reality, the Horsemen were four Immortals; Kronos, Methos, Silas, and Caspian. Pestilence, Death, War, and Famine. Each was an Immortal and from roughly 3500 BC to 1000 BC they rode across Europe and Asia as warlords without peer. So great was their legend that they made it into the Bible as the harbingers of the Apocalypse."

Giles hesitated before asking, "And you have those memories?"

Willow gave a bitter laugh, "From both sides. Remember Giles, I also have the memories of every immortal that Silas killed. I have the memories of being both the rapist and the victim, the torturer and victim, the killer and the killed. The Quickening blunts the emotional impact of the memories, more with every generation that they are removed from the source, but I still have the memories."

Buffy moved from the chair she had been sitting in to the couch besides Willow and wrapped her in her arms, "I understand."

Buffy glanced at Giles and took a fortifying breath, "Nefertiti was not just the daughter of an Egyptian Pharaoh, she was the Daughter of Ra and Sekhmet and from them she inherited the genetic memory of the Goa'uld."

Giles started cursing then before, eventually, stopping and asking "Does the word Chappa'ai mean anything to you?"

Willow felt Buffy go still and a glance at her face showed that it had paled, "How do you know that word?" the Slayer asked her Watcher.

"Every Watcher knows the story. Approximately ten thousand years ago, Ra was embodied in Egypt and following him would come the rest of the Egyptian pantheon, and many of the other ancient gods. They used their magics to conquer the world and make humanity their slaves for the next five thousand years, until the Slayer of the time led a rebellion against the demons - the Goa'uld - who had been impersonating the gods. The portal to their hell dimension, the Chappa'ai couldn't be destroyed and so it was disabled and buried."

"Not quite correct watcher mine. The Goa'uld were a race of parasitic aliens from another planet who conquered the entire Milky Way before Ra accidentally discovered Earth and found humanity to make superior hosts. The Chappa'ai wasn't a portal to another dimension but a gateway to other planets, an entire network of them exist across the galaxy and using that network you can step from one of those worlds to any other planet in the network with ease.

"Most importantly at the moment, the goa'uld have a genetic memory and are born knowing virtually everything that their progenitors did. And the goa'uld may well have been demonic, because they revealed in cruelty. Eons of memories of conquest, cruelty, war, intrigue, rule; all mine now Giles."

Willow gave her friend a squeeze before saying quietly, "Not quite most important Buffy. If you have those memories and Giles remembers the Chappa'ai as history chronicled by the Watchers then that means the Goa'uld are real and likely still out there ruling the galaxy. If they are as demon like as you are implying, then I doubt they have ever forgotten the humiliation that humanity caused them by kicking them off our planet. Could we survive if they came back?"

Buffy paled and winced "No, we couldn't. The Goa'uld didn't invent much but they were exceptional scavengers of technology and with their genetic memory and ability to take hosts, and thus incorporate all the hosts knowledge into themselves, they have a technology base eons beyond our own. They have bioweapons that could sterilize this planet with as little as a single infected host, bombs the size of a baseball that could decimate this entire continent, and pretty much every other horror you can imagine. A single one of their basic warship class could conquer the planet with ease."

Willow stilled, "And you have the knowledge to build these things?"

Buffy gave a grim nod, "Given time to work my way up the tech tree, I could personally construct a Ha'Tak - one of their capital ships - starting with nothing but modern Earth technology. At least I could if this planet had any Naquadah."

Before any of the three could say anything more, Giles's phone started to ring. They ignored it until the answering machine picked up and Xander's voice could be heard, "Hey guy's, I know you're there so pick up the phone because something seriously wiggy is going on."

So a Ship of the Line story. Next chapter introduces Dawn and Xander and their changes.

Willow
Went as Yana Shepard, the main character of a computer RPG that she had been working on for the past few years. A combination of Highlander and Mass Effect with both (especially ME) being somewhat AU. Kept her changes thanks to her dying at Spikes hand and that triggering her Immortality, when she triggered it incorporated her augmented body and made the changes permanent.
-Genetic augmentations to reach beyond peak human potential, somewhere around an X-5 from Dark Angel or a Jaffa. Will age to physical peak (approximately 24) and then cease aging afterwords.
-DEUS, nano-cybernetic replacement of the nervous system. Each nanite has, at its core, a spec of Eezo. Provides light speed reflexes, biotics on (or beyond) the level of an Asari matriarch, a full neural interface, and several other (more minor) abilities. Think a combination of Jake 2.0, Shadowrun cybernetics, Dues Ex, ME, and Halo.
-Athena, AI whose seed code was in the DEUS nanites but "grew" to maturity via interfacing with the host brain and exists in a symbiotic relationship with the host. Takes time to index the hosts brain and "grow" (a day or two).
-Immortal, will only die from total destruction of the body (even a single cell is enough to reform) or fatal enough damage in the presence of another Immortal. When one Immortal dies to another, the Quickening (their soul and memories) becomes part of the winner. Grants perfect recall of every moment post Immortality. Willow has the Quickening of Yana, and through her those of thousands of others; the most important is Silas - War (who was also The Illusive Man).

Has a very high degree of knowledge of ME tech (although without Eezo, which doesn't exist in this verse outside of her nanites and will not be remotely easy to create synthetically, that is of somewhat limited utility), is fluent in every language humanity has pretty much ever spoken (and all the ME alien tongues), and is basically master level skilled at pretty much any skill one could name.

Buffy
Went as Nefertiti. Unknown to Buffy at the time, Nef was the Daughter of Ra and Sekhmet and was a Goa'uld. The Spell suppressed her Slayer-ness which allowed the possession, she killed Angel before it broke via hand device. When the spell ended, the Slayer spirit devoured the goa'uld in an instant. The spell had a greater impact on her because she was the Slayer, dressed as a historical (as opposed to fictional) figure, and the goa'uld are actually demonic.
-Naquadah enhanced nervous system. When possessing Buffy's body, Nef did what all goa'uld do and replaced the entire nervous system with one made up of goa'uld material that incorporates Naquadah. Allows interfacing with goa'uld tech, minor enhancements to most physical abilities, and light speed reflexes along with enhanced thinking speed.
-Goa'uld Genetic Memory. Goa'uld remember their progenitors lives as if they lived them themselves, normally lost when the goa'uld is removed, the Slayer spirit incorporated the knowledge into itself (much like it incorporates the knowledge of every Slayer it plays host to) and Buffy has access to it all.

Dawn
Created early by the Monks, she went as a B5 Technomage with some backstory tweaks. Abilities were retained because of nature as Key.
-Technomage: The Technomages were created as operatives by the Shadows, a First One species that had been spacefaring for more than a billion years at the time. A technomage is created via techno-organic nanites that integrate with every single cell in the body and become part of it. Normally those nanites draw power from hyperspace but in Dawn's case they draw it from the Blind Eternities. Provides immunity to Telepathy along with a panoply of other abilities. Most combat relevant is the ability to create an armored form that absorbs any incoming energy and dumps it into the Blind Eternities at a rate of approximately 20 megatons per second and, offensively, the ability to fire radiation of essentially any type in a beam with a yield of approximately 2 megatons per second. Lack of Shadows in this reality means lack of connection to their knowledge repositories and with it any instinctive knowledge of technology.

Xander
Went as Alexander Hunt, the Captain of the High Guard Heavy Cruiser Andromeda Ascendant. "His" stand-in in a original work that Jesse had written and one of the main characters. Retained changes and ship thanks to Janus's interference and at the expense of Ethan Rayne's soul. Andromeda is quite AU
-High Guard nanites. Hybrid of Andromeda, Schlock, Shadowrun. Allows neural interfacing with High Guard technology along with other features.
-Andromeda Ascendant. Glorious Heritage class Heavy Cruiser of the Vedran Empire (AU), assigned to the High Guard - the personal fleet of the Imperial family. Uses Quantum Slipstream drive which involves riding the quantum strings that link the universe together to achieve FTL travel - travel times have little to do with distance, only usable with a living pilot as the pilot needs to "feel" the correct path. No energy shields, no FTL sensors, extreme ability to manipulate gravity.
-Genetically enhanced precognitive. Sees personal future three seconds in advance.

Contact between the Scoobies and SGC is made in the end of February 1998 when Apophis shows up in Sol with two Ha'Taks. The Ha'Taks prove essentially immune to Andromeda's weapons (KEW's are stopped cold by the shield, anti-protons are treated basically the same way as they aren't contacting physical matter but are instead repelled by the shields, EM based lasers do basically nothing. Set of Rings that have been recovered by Scoobies are used to transport Willow and Buffy to each Ha'Tak where they release High Guard nanites to disable the crew and start killing. Buffy is successful but Willow is on the same ship as SG1 and they are unable to disable the explosives in time to have to evacuate.

The Goa'uld are treated as proper threats, especially on the strategic scale, but the real enemies are going to be the Wraith and Ori (at least in space, on Earth the biggest enemy is going to be the demonic and especially the more sneaky of the demons).

So thoughts?

Idea: A Female Supervillain is defeated by her "archnemesis", a Male Superhero whom she totally does not have a crush on

She wakes up in a new costume that she finds embarrassing due to the future panty shots and confused by the presence of the superhero's logo/sigil on it

The superhero-dude declares her his new sidekick!!!

Saying he was embarrassed by being the only one in "The Justice Bringers" to NOT have his own sidekick

Sure she's not a teenager and is near his age, but who says a sidekick has to be that much younger?

Also, she's now officially on the "SuperVillain-Rehab-Program" which allows some super villains an eventual pardon if they did government-work and were placed under an agent(HIM)

A Superhero-ROMCOM, more-or-less

Way too creepy a vibe for a RomCom type setting. Look straight up NSFW or at least skirting the line of it.

That said, what’s the creepy part specifically aside from the fanservice?
To start, the guy changing her while she's unconscious. Then there's the lack of consent inherent in a parole officer/parolee relationship, which when they happen IRL are frequently heavy on the rape. That's overcomeable, but you need to be a damn good writer and careful.

Also, panty shots don't go in romcoms. Those are a manga thing only, really.

Point

Didn’t think of that stuff being a thing

Yeah, would need to be a good writer for that, also an even better one to make it say one that ends with actual superhero stuff

Maybe best to change it to an offer of parole/redemption, followed up by the sidekick outfit and name change and character development and actually fighting crime

It's still a Parole Officer/Parolee relationship, which IRL are all kinds of fucked up, because there's the threat of being locked up for the parolee if they refuse. It's very difficult to establish actual consent under these circumstances.

So maybe only until long after the parole's over?

Then you lose the whole narrative to time. If you are a very good writer, you can handle this. Or just go for the classic Villain Hero relationship, or just have the Hero pay her to become his sidekick because he desperately needs one, and the villain gets to laugh at him, or many other ways.
