[X] Support the 'Devils Dressed In Blue'

Hmm, maybe if they succeed we can spin further into our favor. I like the idea of at least hiring Bourbon 'Mercenaries' to act as support should they prove competant.

Unless things have radically changed in the IS I'm blaming either the crappies or ROM/it's WOB counterpart for the false flag stuff

We've bled plenty. I have no problem getting our other neighbors to help. In fact, bleeding together against the BS might help bring our two peoples together.

This kills off people who are really insanely dumb and irrationally hostile to us, while also moving the Bourbons as a whole towards *either* being a worthwhile ally or more easily conquered.

Far, far away, the Celestial Wisdom frowns for a moment. It is as if some insignificant voice was lifted in unpleasant disharmony and failed to be properly silenced.

Thinking about this problem concerning contacting the Inner Sphere, it seems that a polity that is as advanced as the Empire seems to be would be able to set up a string of HPG satellites in uninhabited systems all the way back to the Sphere. If one can navigate the stars as the Empire does, the rest is fairly straightforward.

Sure, we can do that. Problem is that we can't guarantee that those won't be destroyed or subverted by whatever faction is aggressively nuking merchants for not agreeing to the deal.

It would make more sense to set up a string of fortified outposts at the extreme of HPG range for at least the first leg of a journey, and then slowly expand those outposts into logistics outposts for the eventual colonization of that region.

if we have them in deep space then that is no issue , space is stupid big and finding something in the deep void of space without knowing its exact coordinates in advance is straight up impossible unless you have Startrek level sensor technology

Or the ability to backtrace an HPG transmission...like we can.

Maybe don’t send these guys into a death trap? Seems a bit like a traitorous move towards a group that still remains loyal to their state. Sure they are jerks and not our guys, but this seems just a bit drastic.

We don't need to send them into a death trap. Just fighting the BS will cull the heard as it were.
