I'm sure we've all had more than enough time to acquaint ourselves with the #MeToo movement, and Cancel Culture in general. Sometimes it's justified; most of the time though, accusations are made and accepted as true without evidence, and innocent people's lives are ruined because of it. Innocent until proven guilty apparently means nothing now.
Take ProJared for instance:
After several months of silence, he posted a video a few hours ago addressing the accusations levied against him by his wife, and several individuals he received nudes from. In it, he explains his side of the story; and importantly, unlike his accusers, provides hard evidence to back it up. If forty minutes is too long to sit though, there are summaries out there; but the gist of it is everyone who was quick to demonize him probably should have waited for evidence, rather than just accepted the accusation as evidence in and of itself.
It's not just him though; there are countless stories of mob justice gone wrong, sometimes even attacking the victims of abuse based on the words of their abusers, that it makes me wonder why it's still happening.
