Oof. She is really not good at public speaking. Every time she tried to counter him she just confirmed what he had just said.
Yellen has long been ridiculed for her speaking.
I think mainly because she is a short fat old crone that really can't speak clearly, probably because she can't inhale enough air cause she afraid she will shit herself due to the exertion.

The fact Congress has just entirely ceded its spending authority to bureaucratic agencies and/or those agencies have usurped the role by using the apparently-magic words 'systemic risk' should see the Treasury Secretary, FDIC board, Federal Reserve chairmen, and congresspeople getting imprisoned and prosecuted.

The fact that massive upset to foundational principles of the US elicits little outrage--is expected even, and somewhat lauded--is just icing on the top of the shit-sandwich.

The fact that all our bullshit with bank bailouts and regulation and national policy thereof has still seen us in the last few decades repeating the pattern of 'mass panic, collapse, rebuilding' cycles every decade-ish that big national banking was supposed to prevent is just...grand irony, I suppose.

She's a professional economist, not a politician, major businessman, or senior military figure. I wouldn't expect her to have the dodging and weaving skills required for any of those jobs.

She has been a political appointment and has had an executive/directorial/advisory position in sensitive, high optics positions for decades.
If she does not have the ability to speak convincingly and answer questions in front of a group of people she does not have any business leading people or consulting politicians on public policy.

The fat old gugutka was apparently too busy to learn basic skills.

As to being professional, well, her money printing and pushing of outright partisan leftoid shit disqualifies her there, too.

Anyway, here is senator John Kennedy tearing into Bidonya's bailout, the stupidity of the bank and the incpompetence of the regulators:

Also, side note, thought this guy was a Democrat?

Not an expert but I’m hearing stuff like this from people I trust:

For all of the various reasons that have led us to this lethal juncture, central banks are now doing now the EXACT opposite of what they did in 2008. They are tightening into a burgeoning credit crisis.

Which means we have entered the most lethal financial crisis since 1930.

Add another reason why I think people are going turn hard on the wokies

Clearly, governments aren't the only ones who take "Never let a good crisis go to waste!" seriously.

In fact, there are times where I wonder if activists who agitate for social justice in public rub their hands evilly in private, secretly rejoicing over their latest chance to "Transform society!" now that people are looking towards a solution to their latest problem. Really, it always amuses me how people always assume more government is the answer to everything, as well as how the majority of activists lean in that direction without ever investigating whether it's government that caused their woes in the first place.

The activists are just useful monkeys that can be poked with a stick so they screech loudly.

The people really looking to transform society, of course, will certainly exploit every crisis. In fact, they'll readily cause or worsen crises, if they think it serves their purposes.

How long do those people get to ride high on their power before the mob comes for them?

Based on other regimes that have long building internal pressures and eventual fallout, my guess is, funnily enough, about eighty years, based on the lifetime of the CCCP.

Shouldn't be any surprise that thats also an averageish lifespan, I'd think.
