Things might be worse than we suspect....Has anyone else seen a report that talks about no births in China for the last month or so? I know that births are declining heavily in China but I thought I saw a Youtube vid where it claims China has had NO births in a month.

The Anti-Covid Measure Riots Are Apparently Still Going On in Parts of China, notably that troublesome Xinjiang Province of course. It's apparently been amplified by the deaths of ten indviduals in an apartment fire in Urumqi in XInjiang Province and whose deaths were allegedly partially attributed to the Zero Covid Lockdown measures Chinese authorities have imposed.

This follows protests earlier at Foxconn's large iPhone Plant in ZHengzhou within the Henan Province which was also over Covid Lockdown policies and resulted in the resignation of thousands of employees.

Media of the ongoing protests that are taking place across the nation.

The China Show has a show live at the moment going over all the protests that are going on right now. Apparently in some places they have seized government officials.
It's been a long time coming: the lockdowns/"Zero COVID", the constant knife attacks by what would be public shooters in the States, the "mysterious explosions" in cities, what's going on in certain provinces (e.g. in the western areas), the current financial crisis/real-estate bubble popping, the climate...

I wouldn't be surprised if the military and police actually began joining the protestors, to be honest: they've been affected just as much as the civilian population.

That won't happen until they stop getting their paychecks

That's going to be the tipping point. When a sizable minority of the military and the police switch sides, or just stand aside, the government will instantly lose control over large sections of the country. You have to remember, in places with lots of police and military that just means that those institutions are more influenced by the public.

This is what happened in Egypt. They were a military state, every family had members in the military, but what that meant was that the troops weren't willing to fire into the crowds.

They are being born, but due to lockdown most are dying at home, or going unreported as the Records bureaucrats aren't about to risk their arses and leave their well supplied government housing district.

Uprisings all over. These poor people are going to die.
PLA has started a covert General Mobilization. Hundreds of thousands of Reservists are being called up. I think a massive crackdown is about to start.

The Chinese are suffering under their own curse, "May you live in interesting times."

Everyones suffering under that curse not just them.

That said the china you see today is not the china that you normally historically see. Chinese traditions and values are actually good and they have a good foundation. Once they are allowed to be themelves again I think we will see a country worthy of respect.

Not with the mainland Chinese. Mao considered traditions as cancerous enemies of the proletariat. The CCP has systematically destroyed all traditions and values and replaced it with Marxist ideology. The only traditional values are in Taiwan and old settlements in foreign nations that were outside CCP reach. Although many of those same values are incredibly bad.

Its really difficult to kill the soul of a people, I think we will see a return to tradition in china, it wont be the same of course as it was but I think you will see a return. As for Marxist Ideology I fully expect the next regiem to throw it firmly into the trash.

Tiananmen 2.0 or this time it'll fail?

On the numbers the CCP is in a much worse position then in Tiaanmen, their demographics are terminally fucked, their water issues are horriendus, the CCP has more or less alienated most of their allies and their strongest ally Russia has even worse demography and is getting spanked in a war against a much weaker power. On top of that they have lost a lot of flexibility because they have pretty much concentrated all power into a singular figure.

Add in a envitable market correction because their economy is basically a mixture of enron the country and the worlds most skilled game of Jenga ever and then add in lock downs which have basically managed to piss off fucking every one.

My money is that even if they crush this one, all of the circumstances that caused all of the unrest will still be there and only get worse, which means more uprisings, eventally one of them will succede and the CCP will fall.
