To quote The Doctor (4th), "What's it for?!"

Money is a tool as a medium of exchange. It does nothing in and of itself, the acquisition of more and more money without end for no reason begs the question of Why? Once your possible needs are met in the here and now and any possible future, to what end is the continued accumulation of wealth?

In a capitalist system, income is one way to count the value one has provided to others (definitely not an all inclusive count, but it definitely counts some of it). The accumulation of wealth is frequently a bi-product of doing good things with what you have. For example, investing is enabling other's dreams to be possible when they couldn't afford it themselves (especially true with angel investors and the like). Elon Musk isn't running SpaceX anymore because he needs the money, but because space is really goddamn cool.

Frequent, but not guaranteed. It's important to remember that there are also those who acquire wealth through less... savory means. Quite a few of them, in fact; at least in our society, which tends to excuse (and often celebrate) predatory and unscrupulous behavior.

This incident in Loudoun County is deeply troubling to me, not just because of what happened, but because of where it happened. I live just outside of Loudoun County and I know plenty of people who have gone to their public schools or who have sent their kids there. What happened to this girl could have just as easily happened to the daughter of one of my friends or neighbors.

It's one thing reading about this sort of thing happening in LA or San Fransisco, but it's another thing to hear about it happening right next door. The Left will never stop until this kind of sickness is spread to every school district in the country. Today it happened where I live. Tomorrow it could happen in yours.

It is not the promise of a gold coin or green paper that encourages any healthy man to work, it is the promise of earning goods and services. Money is not equivalent to goods or services, it is strictly a temporary agreement, and one which has often ended abruptly. See: Argentina, Zimbabwe, and many, many others.

As for the gift economy, it is a fine thing to cultivate. Cuts the moneylenders out of the loop entirely.
But goods and services can't be obtained without money. It's the bonding medium that allows exchanging goods and services. Ergo, people indirectly DO grow and build things thanks to money, and wouldn't have done it if not for money (since barter would be extremely impractical)

And here we have someone acting out like the ancient stereotype of being a Jew obsessed with money. Can you not insult your fellow posters faith unless you are ok with having yours insulted?
The emphasis I'm making is not on their Christianity, but on their zealotry. You can be Christian without holding batshit extremist views, and conversely you can be an insane Jewish zealot (fuck Neturei Karta).

Some school boards arnt crazy, and others would have to be legit suicidal if they think they can get away with that in some of the rural counties in GA or TX, or small town East TN.
I say this because I have lived in these places, only gone to school in GA, but known plenty if teachers and parents in them.

A lot are friends of the kids of police or sheriff deputies, or are the kids of them.
So yeah, that is a quick way to get yourself in a position where you have no choice but to deal with it.

This is why we need to start at the local levels for our government. Make sure these school boards arnt like this

And what counts as 'zealoty' hrm? Christians have been bending over backwards for years now. If pushing back and standing by our faith makes us zealots, then let us be the second coming of the Maccabees.

Psaki Says the Quiet Part Out Loud: ‘Biden Wants to Make Fundamental Change in Our Economy and He Feels Coming out Of the Pandemic is the Time to do That’

Never let a crisis go to waste.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Tuesday said Biden wants to make a “fundamental change” in our economy and he feels coming out of a pandemic is the perfect time to do that.

They don’t even hide their true intentions.

Covid is being used to usher in a worldwide Communist revolution under the guise of a pandemic.

The China Coronavirus pandemic is being used as a shield to protect Joe Biden as he destroys the Constitution while simultaneously being used as a sword to attack conservatives.

“The president wants to make fundamental change in our economy, and he feels coming out of the pandemic is exactly the time to do that,” Psaki said.

Federal Workers, U.S. Service Members Sue Biden Admin Over Vaccine Mandates

A group of federal workers, including several members of the military, are suing the Biden administration over a pair of mandates directing all federal workers and military service members to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
“Americans have remained idle for far too long as our nation’s elected officials continue to satisfy their voracious appetites for power,” says the lawsuit, filed by a group of plaintiffs including four Air Force officers and a Secret Service agent, according to The Washington Post.

Ten plaintiffs filed a suit in the U.S. District Court in Washington on September 23, seeking for the judge to place an injunction on President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates that cover all federal workers and contractors, as well as all members of the U.S. military.

The lawsuit argues that the mandates violate religious freedom protections in the First Amendment. Both orders grant exemptions for religious and medical reasons if one can qualify, according to the Post.

“Besides its constitutional and statutory claims, the lawsuit, prepared by attorneys in Virginia and San Diego, contains vituperative language for a legal filing, citing the administration’s ‘authoritarian grip’ on the nation and the country’s ‘forty-seven year subjugation’ to Biden’s ‘vapid political career,’” the Post reported.

Biden issued an order in September that mandated all federal workers and contractors receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine mandate was included in the rollout of a larger strategy Biden announced to combat the coronavirus, which included a mandate covering all companies in the U.S. with at least 100 employees ordering that those employers must either ensure their employees are vaccinated or tested weekly for COVID-19.

“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” Biden said while announcing his orders. “And it’s caused by the fact that despite America having an unprecedented and successful vaccination program, despite the fact that for almost five months free vaccines have been available in 80,000 different locations, we still have nearly 80 million Americans who have failed to get the shot.”

“And to make matters worse, there are elected officials actively working to undermine the fight against COVID-19,” he continued. “Instead of encouraging people to get vaccinated and mask up, they’re ordering mobile morgues for the unvaccinated dying from COVID in their communities. This is totally unacceptable.”

Biden’s new approach to the illness came after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced in August an order that all U.S. service members must be vaccinated. That order sparked a lawsuit from two servicemen, Army Staff Sgt. Daniel Robert and Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Hollie Mulvihill, filed later in the month. As The Daily Wire reported:
“Service members that have natural immunity, developed from surviving the virus, should be granted a medical exception from compulsory vaccination because the DoD instruction policy reflects the well-established understanding that prior infection provides the immune system’s best possible response to the virus,” the lawsuit states.

The pair filed a request for an injunction to block the vaccine mandate last week as the Pentagon moves forward with vaccinating all unvaccinated service members.

“These are the healthiest people on the planet in their age group … so why are we rushing? What is the compelling reason forcing the military to say, ‘You must take this vaccine, regardless of what the law says?’” the servicemen’s attorney Todd Callender said.

Here is a perfect example of why these communists deserve the rope:

>"Trans boy" rapes girl in school bathroom
>Girl's father arrested at school board meeting for talking about it
>They refuse to address it, afraid of it "impacting" the school's "Transgender and Anti-Racist" reputation and policies
>Gag order placed on dad.
>He is used as example of "domestic terrorism"
>"Trans boy" allowed back to school, promptly rapes again.

The Virginia father who was arrested at a school board meeting while protesting its proposed transgender policies after claiming his daughter was raped in a girls' bathroom by 'skirt-wearing' male student has slammed Merrick Garland for threatening parents who protest school boards.

Scott Smith, 48, appeared on Fox News' The Ingraham Angle and spoke out after he was photographed being dragged out of a school board in Leesburg, Virginia meeting this June and was painted by the left to be a deranged, right-wing bigot.

Smith told host Laura Ingraham that his daughter was sexually attacked at Stone Bridge High School on May 28 by a boy 'wearing in a skirt' who took advantage of the school's trans policies to get into the girls' bathrooms and assault her.

And he slammed Attorney General Merrick Garland for clamping down on protests at board meetings.

The Justice Department announced last week that the FBI would now investigate and prosecute any parent who it deems to be 'threatening' towards school staff.

The order from Garland was in response to a request from the National School Board Association to President Biden, asking him to protect them from angry parents.

Garland said: 'Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation's core values. Those who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring that our children receive a proper education in a safe environment deserve to be able to do their work without fear for their safety.'

Smith told Ingraham: 'That's really scary that our government will weaponize themselves against parents and using my video across the nation to spread fear.

'That's wrong. I am not a bully. I am not a racist. I love everyone. I love this country. I want better stuff for it.'

Smith told host Laura Ingraham that he was trying to stick up for his daughter when he was dragged from the meeting, and says his family was confronted by activists at the meeting when he spoke out against the trans policies.

'I am good with gay people and cross-gender people – Anybody who wants to be a good American, I am good with – I went there to find out why our children were not safe,' he said.

'The next thing I know, another parent-activist approached my wife and starting antagonizing her, and I turned around and said stop.'

He said he tried to explain what happened to his daughter but the woman would not listen.

'She looked me dead in the face and said ''that's not what happened'' – That struck me – how do you know what happened, you don't even know me.' he told Ingraham.

'To my knowledge, we don't have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms,' he said first.

He went on to quote Time magazine research that he said disproved the notion transgender kids might sexually attack cisgender kids, and said: 'I think it's important to keep our perspective on this, we've heard it several times tonight from our public speakers but the predator transgender student or person simply does not exist.'

Two months after the incident, the boy - who has not been named because he is a juvenile - was arrested for forced sodomy.

And in October, he was arrested again on different charges for allegedly assaulting a different girl, at a different school. He is now in a juvenile detention center.

Smith told Ingraham that after he found out about the arrest he decided it was time to speak out.

'Within half an hour, it was confirmed that yes, this did happen. I basically said that's it. I won't stay quiet anymore,' he said.

Smith was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following the June incident.

His family then retreated from the public eye but were working with Lancaster to resolve the criminal case against the boy who assaulted their daughter, they say.

They were preparing for an October 14 court date, they say, but were stunned when the same boy was arrested again on October 6, at a different school in the same district.

On this occasion, he was charged with 'with sexual battery and abduction'. In that case, he allegedly held a different girl in a classroom to attack her in Broad Run High School - 2.5miles from the high school where Smith's daughter was assaulted.

Smith's attorney says prosecutors told her it was the same child as was involved in the case with Smith's daughter.

'If someone would have sat and listened for thirty seconds to what Scott had to say, they would have been mortified and heartbroken,' his attorney added.

He said he does not know if the boy identifies as female, is bisexual, or was taking advantage of the system.

'I don't care if he's homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, transsexual. He's a sexual predator,' he said.

Because the case involves two juveniles, there are few publicly available records and Loudoun County will not comment or give out any information.

It remains unclear why the boy in question was in the different school, where the second assault allegedly took place on October 6, when he had apparently been in talks with prosecutors to agree to a deal for the May 28 assault against Smith's daughter.

Loudoun County won't say whether or not he was ever suspended or excluded from the school system.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office did confirm the October 6 incident, saying in a press release on October 7: 'A teenager from Ashburn has been charged with sexual battery and abduction of a fellow student at Broad Run High School.

'The investigation determined on the afternoon of October 6, the 15-year-old suspect forced the victim into an empty classroom where he held her against her will and inappropriately touched her.'

I did put down in capitalism and income, but to be more explicit, it excludes stuff that's not consensually given and earned, so no charity, no fraud, no child tax credit, no theft, etc. But if you make a $10 profit off of a lemonade stand, you brought at a minimum $10 of extra joy to the world.

See, I think the main issue people have with this line of thought is it conflates Main Street with Wall Street, and small businesses with the big oligopolies. No right winger wants to impair the ability of anyone who should be here to run a lemonade stand and make some money off it, so this is a pretty bad example. What we're against is stuff like Elliot Management.

This discussion seems really off topic for this thread, perhaps we should have a separate thread for it?

Going back and seeing what started the whole side discussion though

1 Timothy 6:10

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

4Tfm9yeL.jpeg

I think this is misunderstanding the root cause and how this works. I very much doubt Merrick Garland is sending the FBI after parents because it is financially beneficial to his daughter. My suspicion would be that he's not even aware it does, and that any link here is tenuous. Merrick Garland and Rebecca Garland both use their institutional power to push anti-White and pro-degeneracy propaganda in schools because they are both anti-White and pro-degeneracy cosmopolitans and perhaps because they know it is in the interests of other anti-White and pro-degeneracy cosmopolitans. The direct financial benefit to a family member is more likely a happy accident.

If it's something that Garland can be gotten on or can wake people up, than of course attention should continue to be drawn to it, but we shouldn't mistake it for the root cause.

But goods and services can't be obtained without money.

Now that's a falsehood if ever I've heard one.

Goods and services are regularly obtained without money and have always been obtained without money. Barter is impractical as a replacement for currency, but good will works just fine -- so long as one is part of a cohesive community centered on something real, like family and/or Christ. It is a failing of degenerate modern societies that they have replaced community with finance as a means of exchanging goods and services. There are still people who do a lot of this, but they tend to be rural, clannish, and poorly represented in corporate media.

Unlike the money, it is the labor that is necessary. This truth sits ill with money-worshippers because a frank examination of society reveals that those who deal in money without laboring to make or do anything real have a parasitic relationship with laborers.

Gavin Newsome has signed a bill in California making Ethnic Studies a requirement to graduate high school in California. This will begin in 2025 and be required for diplomas by 2030. The Ethnic Studies class curriculum looks remarkably like Critical Race Theory with the serial numbers filed off.

“America is shaped by our shared history, much of it painful and etched with woeful injustice,” Newsom wrote in a signing message. “Students deserve to see themselves in their studies, and they must understand our nation's full history if we expect them to one day build a more just society.”
