Let that be a lesson for everyone; if you're going to cheat, make sure the results are so overwhelmingly in your favor so as to invoke peoples' incredulity that anyone could be so blatant.

In any event; if there wasn't malice and fraud behind him staying, then it was pure unadulterated idiocy on the part of a majority of Californians, and they deserve every bit of what's happened to them. As well as what's going to happen once the Dems run out of other people's money.

this is the calm before the storm most californians dont understand just how bad the upcoming bad times will be. Their blissfully unaware about the upcoming clusterfuck, and when it goes to shit then they will wonder how it all went so bad so quickly dispite people like me telling them for years that we have been making bad decisions.

Since it impacts their nation wide warchest to the tune of 270 million dollars.

The Republicans only spent about 10 million on this recall, so contrary to what the Democrats try and claim it wasn't that big of an effort.
I spent two seconds on Google to find out that Larry Elder had raised $45m as of August, not counting other candidates or third party spending. On the other hand, two seconds of Google means there's a lot I don't know, so what do you know that I don't that makes $10m the better number?
10 million dollars to deplete 270 millions dollars that's a return on investment of 27 dollars for every dollar spent that's a pretty good return on investment.
270m was apparently the amount spent on all sides, not the Democratic spending; my first impression is that the dichotomy was more like 2:1, which roughly tracks with the number of Democrats and Republicans respectively in the state.

That still works out to Republican advantage in national fundraising, if everyone in California is (somewhat) depleted from state infighting, since Democrats presumably come out ahead in terms of money from California.
Let that be a lesson for everyone; if you're going to cheat, make sure the results are so overwhelmingly in your favor so as to invoke peoples' incredulity that anyone could be so blatant.
Also, slowly build up your lead (with cheating) over the course of a few decades, so the sudden landslide isn't suspicious. With Doombots if possible to avoid leaks over that period of time.

The result was pretty close to what the assorted pollsters predicted and it's California.

A Democrat ain't losing a vote there unless they're running for election in a red part of the state or enough of the Democrats weighing in on it are displeased with "that asshole".

Yes, but he has completely sold out, so that's hardly surprising.
CA GOP's future path in a comeback:
1.) Reaching out to Latinos, Asian/Pacific Islander Americans & African Americans.

2.) Get rid of the crazy folks hijacking the party.

3.) Stay committed in building foundation blocks for 20+ years (see TX GOP slowly build groundwork which paid off in 1961 US Senate special election victory of John Tower (R) & Clements winning TX Governor's Mansion in 1978).

No the GOPs future in path to a comback in california is waiting until the litteral decades of over spending, mismanagement, and corruption blow up all at once as the state runs out of other peoples money and has to go crawling to the federal government for a bail out.

Former CA Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) says voters made the right decision in keeping Newsom in office.

Every one who pays attention knows california is a train speeding right towards a wall, we are currently beyond the point where reform is possible to prevent it. Who ever is holding the bag when that all hits gets kicked out of power at least for a decade maybe an entire generation.

The imminent collapse of California is all well and good, but the problem is there exists no means of keeping those responsible within its borders to suffer the consequences of their own actions; I am beyond disgusted with the flood of California license plates showing up in my state.

Im sorry but the only way my state can improve is if the idiots either learn from their mistakes or leave, and the latter is easier.

You're from AZ or NC ?
Texas. Specifically, north Texas. Many are buying up land in previously rural areas and building their own piece of paradise, finely curated and sequestered from their neighbors. Before the only fences you saw were on ranch property or lines of trees bordering former farmland. Backroads that were mostly efficient from the lack of traffic are becoming increasingly congested. I shit you not, just this year a fresh escapee bought some land up the street from me and built a nice little mansion in little more than a month. His driveway, perhaps double the length of mine - so roughly 200 ft - is paved. Fucking paved. What's worse, the bastard has it lined with lampposts so bright I can see them through the trees. None of the homes on my street, not even the church, has a paved driveway, let alone one lit.

I understand that, but by the time the actually competent citizens fix decades of mismanagement the plague will have already infested my home beyond recognition, and likely other states as well.

Yeah sorry about that, ideally they would learn from their mistakes and not do the exact same thing that fucked up their home state but quite a few of these guys are well fucking stupid.

Just make sure you charge them twice as much for all the things idiots do less damage when their broke.

Sometimes I wonder if this exodus is just a way of trying to turn historically red states blue.
I do hear leftists fantasizing about that sometimes, but getting people to actually pull up stakes and move their livelihoods to another state is beyond what ideology can induce most people to do, and it would have to be done by the tens of thousands to even make a dent in low population states. Mostly I think I've heard it in the form of "wouldn't it be nice if there was magically a hard-left-voting city of 200k in the boonies of (insert red state I'm talking about)" so ... I don't think making it into a realistic colonization program is really a priority.

If you mean intentionally trashing their own states to push people to red states ... no, I don't think so. But honestly more realistic than the above.

Cali/Dem establishment already accomplished that sort of thing in Colorado.

State used to be pretty red till the influx of Cali and East Coast ex-pats began to outnumber the Texas ex-pats influx and locals, so now the state is blue for the most part.

The Dems are willing to play and operate multi-generational plans using migration from outside the country and interior migration to slowly turn more purple places blue, and more red places purple.

It's also why they have focused on controlling the education system, to make sure they are the one's the youth imprint on socially and are taught history by.
