Updates from last night:

VA Governor: Former VA Governor Terry McAuliffe (D) easily wins the Dem primary with 62% of the vote.

He's favored to reclaim his old job in November.

VA Lieutenant Governor: State Rep. Hala Ayala (D-Woodbridge) wins the crowded Dem primary with 37%.

VA State Attorney General: incumbent VA State Attorney General Mark Herring (D) easily wins renomination with 56%.

Herring is favored to win reelection to 3rd term in November.

Facebook advertised Terry McCauliflower to me as "the first Virginia governor to preside over a same sex marriage!" and "opposed restricting abortion, because we need more women's health care, not less!"

Well I know who I'm not voting for in Nov.
My prediction on how the Old Dominion could turn out in November:
Governor: McAuliffe (D) wins around 53% to 46% over Youngkin.
Lieutenant Governor: Ayala (D) beats Winstome Sears (R): 50% to 49%, making her the first Latina VA Lieutenant Governor (3rd person of color to hold statewide office in VA overall)
State Attorney General: Herring (D) wins reelection to 3rd term: 55% to 43%
VA House of Delegates: TOSS-UP: could go either way depending on turnout.

@Stargazer Any new developments on the VA Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Attorney General & House of Delegates contests ?

Well again, I haven't been following the race closely. I know Youngkin was "caught" on a hidden camera answering a question about abortion, saying he's not "going soft" on abortion but that he can't really talk about it until he's elected and has a GOP majority in the state legislature, then he'll be able to move on it. The Dems are running ads about this exposing Youngkin's "far right agenda" (rolls eyes).

It doesn't change how I'm going to vote given that I'm pro-life; if anything I'm the kind of voter who would be concerned about Youngkin being "soft" on abortion. I think it would have been better if he'd ben up front with that from the start. I don't know how much it will affect the election; I'm still not very optimistic about the GOP's election chances. To be frank the Virginia GOP has seemed rather impotent over the last few election cycles. But I'll still show up to vote myself.
